Pinkle Island

I am convinced that i’ve been studying really consistently for the past three days. Even though it was slow but it was consistent (nak sedap kan hati). Yesterday however, I had a good break, I woke up really late and my body too had a good rest. Monday’s trepeze class was excellent but it left me with further more bruises (why do I enjoy this torture? For the love of art..). I can’t really move much without crying out my misery (rasa macam dah tua tu!, shish)..

So as soon as I woke up, I did some photo editing and eat Mira’s awesome noodles. Then we (Nico, Mira, Faezah and myself) had a round of Karaoke (our pre-concert), before Mira and I head to 02 Arena for BACK STREET BOYS! Oh my god, it was awesome!!!! Just to add some spice, 5 minutes before the show starts, most of the x-factor finalist came into the arena and they sat literally one deck above us. I can see Danyl, Stacey, Joe, Lloyd, JEdward and Olly so clearly. Honestly, I don’t really care much about them because I don’t follow the show this time around (oh well, I don’t think im the x-factor type, I prefer Britains Got Talent). But seriously, I know people don’t really like the twins (JEdward), but at the age of 17 and having the public booing at them in front of their face, I really feel sorry for them. Of course they sucks vocally, but they are no doubt entertaining. Even so, I wont waste my money voting them but I obviously WONT boo them. Plus, I think they are kinda cute .

Anyway, back to my oh so awesome boy band, TAK TIPU, it was like high school all over again. They were soooo old school gitu, they did their sliding steps and their boy band stuff. And my favourite Nick Carter.. like Oh My Goddd… he is soooo handsome. He’s no longer that young blond center parted Nick, now he is that matured hot brunette hunky Nick. Vocally, they are all still with it! They still have it.. For a £35 concert it was all WORTH IT! Ok I NEED to continue watching heroes (to re-live the HERO in me.. serious ni.. !!! Merepek dah mak cik ni).. then continue studying!!

Dear Londoners and to anyone that will be in London end of July..

Yuna, Tashya’s Ink and Bo Amir Iqram will be around. To those who haven’t heard of them, these 3 superb singer songwriter are Malaysia’s new rising stars and we (iieverything) are proud to annouce that they will be performing here in London on the 27th July 2009.

As written in the poster, they will be performing at Corus hotel near Lancaster gate in London. Entrance fee is £10 and £5 for students. There will be a pre show dinner too, where you have a choice of either a 2 course meal or 3 course meal. Details are as follows;

Malaysian Menu, £10.00 for 2 Course menu or £15.00 for 3 Course menu per person, to be served at Olio’s either early sit down between 17:30 to 18:00 or at 21:00hrs

Anyway, Yuna is pretty famous and amazing. I am sure most people has had a taste of her superb songs but if you haven’t heard of her, do check out her myspace . And just to add in a flavour, she will be opening her own boutique called Jet Fuel; Isn’t that just excellent.

Tashya on the other hand, won the first place in a reality tv program called  Mystars LG in Malaysia. She has recently put up a band called Tashya’s Ink, a four piece band where they all have side partings, curly hairs and no age limit (hahha according to them). You be the judge, go check her out @ Tashya’s blog and myspace or even youtube. 

Mr Fluff, better known as Bo Amir Iqram, was chosen as Producer Of The Year at the inaugural Choons Awards 2009, honouring the best in Malaysian dance music –> cool giler! He is the only one that i haven’t heard much about but he has a very interesting image and his voice is superrrr sedap!! I personally would like to see him live and enjoy his songs. Again you be the judge, check him out at his myspace..

Just came back from a Lung test ~ did a suck thing, a blow thing and suck and blow thing.. *bangang*.. I am A OK!! Apparently very good for a person who coughs a lot! ‘Tap’.. I am still smiling, even after closing down this browser, why? Because, I just purchased 2 tickets to watch Backstreet Boys.. Backstreets Back ALRIGHT!!

Love love love them.. obviously Kevin wont be in the tour but my favourite BSB will be there (Brian and Nick).. I cant wait to sing with them.. They gave me so much good and bad memories with their songs ~ As long as you love me.. the tune that made people hated me in high school.. LoL. I managed to convinced my girlfriends to dance to the tune on the stage.. hhaahah not long after that, those girls I called friends, wouldn’t want to be seen near me LOL .. you get the picture right? Yeah we sucked so bad, my poor friends…obviously I was blamed. What about Ill never break your heart? I used to say to my ex, if you want me back you should sing this song to me..What a bully, obviously they wont sing .. one way to make them leave you. Heheh.. I think that’s just brilliant (nevermind what they thought about me, it works!).I’ll update more when the time comes..

Anyway, we are in the midst of 2009. I asked myself, what have I achieved? What made 2009 a memorable year? I will start my doctorate soon (good), hmm.. haven’t achieved anything yet but one thing I have realised, this year I went to A LOT of concerts.. Compared to previous years.. I even managed to go to 2 concerts in a week! Wow! Thinking just now, I love being 25 and i am earning my own money *smiles*… Okok.. This entry will be a little long one. I am going to do a little recap to all of the concerts that I went…

1st Concert February 2009:

Pussycat Dolls, opening act by Neyo and Lady Gaga.. 4 stars overall

I went with my beau, we missed lady gaga a little but managed to hear her main song Lets Dance! But Neyo was an excellent performer, he might not have the look but surely have the talent! They all rocked.. The PCDs were excellent without a doubt.. love them too bits! I wish I was Nicole Scherzinger.. love her voice, her looks and her bf!!! Their outfits were amazingly sexy and I loveeee it.. nuff said

2nd Concert may 2009:

Pink, opening by not very famous dudes 4.5 stars overall (that’s because opening act so so)

Ifham and I were supposed to go together but since he had to go home, Dayana filled in his place and surely DID NOT DISSAPPOINT her! We were standing, we were rocking hard and I was happy that I brought Dayana to her first concert in London and she enjoyed it heaps! Pink was the best performer ive ever seen. She was able to sing live even while she was on a Trepeze and her voice was oh so awesome! She will always be my idol.. and even though she nicked my nickname, I think she deserves it.. haha.. so I am now a pretty pinkle.. ececehh.. Wish I could see her again.

There were 6 girls and 1 boy in the gang. Marriam dearest bought the tickets for us.. so sweet kan! Dina and I were there soooo early to make sure we didn’t miss the opening act. Zharif.. okla.. maybe not my cup of tea but Shontelle was brilliant.. she was also very pretty and her long legs were sooo eye catching.. Okok.. singing wise of course the bomb!  Best222..

Beyonce? Voice wise, out of this world.. Love her gorgeous voice..

 Gila babster ok! Dance, costumes I will give 10 stars… overall performance probs : 4 stars. My favourite song would be Halo. It was halo-riffic. However, Ema thought she was cheating quite a lot because she lets the audience sang for her more than she actually sang.. and in addition, we had a dikir barat team sitting in front of us, covering our view (bloody kids).. oh bless them..

London Circus peeps was just circus-ey.. interestingla. Ciara was dbomb.. no doubt I loved her body and her dance routine was amazing. She sang live but Britney on the other hand, only managed to sing live for 1 song.. But her performance was immaculate. Very well choreographed, although we all thought it was a little too short. Nonetheless, thank you to Yas and Natte for selling us the tickets, we had the best seats in the world! At least, that’s what we thought and Natte we got you something .

…. I love concerts, I tried to stop or even rest for a bit before thinking of buying another concert ticket (more like controlling my spending habit).  But I cant help it… Music is my life, and obviously since I am in London, I should take the opportunity to see all the concerts while I still can. Anyway, I always make sure i brought something back with me, main thing: the tour book! and a t-shirt atleast, but above all, Beyonce sells the most ridiculously expensive merchandise and sadly it was UGLY. Oh well, thats Diva for you, still love her tho.. Oh well, I should start sharing my songs.. Hopefully one day I will share them.
